Grandchildren Week

This week is Grandchildren week. I'm posting a couple of photos of my only grandchild. Ryley is 2 1/2 yrs. old. She is my pride and joy. I never could understand what people meant when they would say having grandchildren was different than your own. There is a special but different type of love you feel for them. I can't explain it but it's so true. She is my life. I can't imagine life without her. She brings such joy to me. Just thinking about her makes me smile. I enjoy every minute we spend together. Having grandchildren makes life worth living. They bring a new respective to things. You see things different with a grand child that you didn't see with your own children. I pray that I have many more grandchildren. Everyone needs at least one grandchild in their live.

RAWR!

I gotta share another cute photo of our grand daughter. This one she is playing with our cat, Ringo. It looks like she is intimidating him. Look at her facial expression. She looks like she is showing him her claws. Man, I think I need to get into scrapbooking, don't you?
OH! I do have good news on her location. Through a friend of a friend, I received an email telling me her address. I would love to go see her but I know that her mother will up and move. So for now, I will be content on having an address. This will help us when it comes time for us to get an lawyer to seek custody.

I miss her sooo much!

Dreaming of you, baby!

I stumbled across this photo of my son and grand daughter. He was rocking her to sleep and ended up putting him and her to sleep. Funny! Priceless!

Last night, I had a dream. I dreamed about my grand daughter. Oh it was so real. Oh, get this! My mom dream about her too. Weird huh? We both dreamed that she was coming back to us. We dreamed that the momma didn't want her anymore and was wanting to give her to us to keep. Whoa! That would be so awesome!

Well, until we get to see her again, in person, we will just look at her photos.

Missing my grand daughter

Today is such a beautiful day that I wish I could spend it with my baby girl (grand daugther). There are some issues going on with her mom that she won't allow us to see her nor let her see her daddy. I really don't understand why. All we want is to spend time with baby girl and be a part of her life.
Is there anything wrong with loving someone so much that you want to spend time with them? All I can do is pray that God will bring her back to us. She is such a wonderful and sweet baby.

I never understood what people meant when they say, "Oh there is nothing like having grand babies!" Well, now I know. It's a love that can't be described. The feelings you didn't know you had comes bubbling up and you just can't help but give kisses and hugs all the time. Don't get me wrong, we did all this for our own children but for some reason being a grand parent the love is deeper - if that makes any sense.

I find myself looking at things different. Even my sense of smell is different. I want my baby girl to see the world in a way that my children didn't see it. I want her to experience life on a new level than me or my children did. I'm constantly trying to find new books to read or a new craft idea to make. Gosh, even looking up new recipes to make with her.

Well, as time goes by not seeing her, I just keep storing all these recipes, crafts ideas, stories and photos away until we can see each again. I pray that each day that goes by, God is bringing us that much closer to her. All we can do is put her in His hands.
