As I learn how to work this blog thingy, I'm trying to see how I can show you some of my beadwork. I'm pretty proud of it cause it comes from my heritage. My grandma and mother taught me how to bead.My grandma and mom told me that everytime I do my beadwork, I'm to think good thoughts. This way, whomever picks up the item I beaded, will think good thoughts too. When I'm beading, I like to think of special times in my life that made me feel especially good. Most of the time, I think of my grand daughter and how she makes me feel when I'm with her. There have been times that I think of a childhood memory, or a day at the lake, a beautiful sunset, a funny moment, or the thought of how wonderful my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is to me.
After I finish my bead work, I usually give my bead work away to offer thanks to that person for helping me or my family with a project, moral support, encouragemnent or to simply to show them how much I care for them. Alot of people tell me that I need to sell my craft and I have a time or two but I prefer to give my craft away. God gave me my talent for free so I offer my talent in return for free. I truly believe that the best things in life are free.
If you would, when you look at the pictures, tell me what you feel, when you see my beadwork and I'll let you know if that is what I was feeling while making it.
